About Relaunch Circles A Relaunch Circle Success Story Stacy, an attorney who had quit her high intensity job as a litigator after the birth of her son, wanted to return to work in a job that would be more fun and more flexible. After participating in Relaunch Circle A, Stacy realized she had lots of skills that would make her successful in business. Within a few months, she found a job as COO of Socialight, a software development company that provides a platform for communities to form and interact around location-based content and media relevant to the community's interests. She works three days in the office, allowing her to spend more time with her young son. “My participation in iRelaunch's Relaunch Circles program helped me define my career goals and take my next career step with confidence!" More Relaunch Circle Success Stories: Sandy, a mother of three children aged 12-16, had helped out in a family business and occasionally taught pre-school, but had done nothing else career-wise since her children were born. She was, however, an active volunteer on school and church committees. Nevertheless, she felt completely intimidated by the idea of joining a Relaunch Circle but a friend convinced her to sign up. At the first session she announced that she “had no skills.” Through the Relaunch Circle A exercises and peer support, Sandy soon realized that her community work was valuable experience. After applying for a volunteer position at a hospice, she was stunned, then thrilled, when they asked her to interview for a part-time paid role. Drawing on her new-found self-confidence, Sandy beat out several candidates and was offered the position. “The Relaunch Circle was enormously helpful to me.” Jennifer, a former private equity banker who had been very senior when she left the workforce 11 years ago, was seeking to return to financial services, in one of the toughest job markets in decades. Circle B helped Jennifer regain her confidence and learn about developing an online presence. This fall, Jennifer was offered a coveted spot in Goldman Sachs’ Returnship Program, a nine-week paid internship at the financial services firm for returning professionals. Although there’s no guarantee that she’ll have a job when the Returnship ends, she feels much better positioned to find an opportunity, either at Goldman Sachs or at another financial services firm.” Allyson, a mother of three, and a former nurse with an MBA whose last job was as a consultant for Deloitte 17 years ago, recently wrote us “I just accepted a job as the Nurse Recruiter for St. Clare’s Health System. After seeing that recruiting fell out of all my previous jobs and volunteer experiences, it seemed a natural fit. I am excited about working with St. Clare’s to be part of the change they are undertaking. The Relaunch Circle was so valuable in helping me frame my thoughts and organize the whole idea into a process. My consultations and sessions with the coach provided the personal support I needed to make some tough decisions. I start in January at St. Clare’s. Thank you for creating such a unique program and for all your support.”
